The All Ireland Fourball team march on. They play Clontarf on Sunday 12th May with 3 matches at home and 2 away.
At this stage there is nothing between the teams, so support for the players would be welcome at home or away in Clontarf.
Saturday 11th May is qualifying day for the Pierce Purcell panel who travel up the M1 to Bellewstown to compete with 17 other clubs for the 1 coveted spot of leading qualifier.
Calmness and nerves of steel are required for qualification as EVERY shot in EVERY pairing is crucial.
The Jimmy Bruen panel have started their practice and competition for places is intense. The Pierce Purcell and Jimmy Bruen competitions are All Ireland competitions so any weaknesses in play will result in defeat.
Junior Cup preparation is underway, again an All Ireland competition, so best of luck to the lads.
The Uden Cup match is fixed for Sunday 19th May with 3 matches in Royal Dublin at 12 noon and 2 matches in St Margaret’s at 1 pm.
While we may not (but might) win all our matches, we expect the St Margaret’s players to play to the best of their abilities with honesty and sportsmanship while representing the club.
Lets take the up’s with the down’s and play with pride.
